Sonia Battaille

Sonia Battaille has been working as an independent professional interior architect since 2006.  She worked on several high-profile commercial projects in Belgium including 2 restaurants of more than 3700 ft2, collaborating in the design of a wellness center in a 5 star hotel, 'le Château du Lac' and working on the elaboration of several Marcolini's stores (one of the most exclusive chocolate brands of Belgium). She also completed more than 35 successful residential projects before she moved to Santa Barbara in 2015 with her family.

Sonia focuses on residential projects and her client's satisfaction is her top priority.
Inspired by nature, the Bauhaus style and Minimalism, Sonia loves the quietness of the warm whites with refined lines, combined with natural elements such as fine wood and natural stones. 
She also likes to play with modern materials that often allow outstanding creativity.
With a genuine concern for sustainability, Sonia will always suggest using more earth-friendly components/appliances, whenever possible.
 
Academics:  

A 4 year Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Architecture, at L'Ecole Supérieure des Arts, ESA Saint-Luc (Brussels), 2006.

Bachelor's degree in International Economics, completed with honors, at EPHEC (Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (Brussels), 1998.
 
Spoken languages:  trilingual in French (native), Dutch and English.
